Mitra Ramkumar is a transformative leader in Guyana’s tourism and hospitality sector, with a career spanning leadership, advocacy, and business development. He has served multiple terms at  the Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana (THAG) as Treasurer and President , guiding policy dialogue, expanding membership, and forging partnerships to promote low-carbon, sustainable tourism.

As Chief Financial Officer of Roraima Airways Inc. for over 25 years, he has advanced Guyana’s aviation and hospitality landscape while championing sports, events, and eco-tourism. During COVID-19, he promoted domestic tourism, safe-service models, and, with Conservation International, spearheaded the Safe Guyana Travel Kits initiative to support small businesses nationwide.
