Mr. Wilmot Dudley Garnett has been the Representative of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) Office in Guyana since October, 2012.   

Mr. Garnett is currently the Liaison Officer for the Caribbean Community (Caricom) Secretariat.

Mr. Garnett joined IICA in 1999 and over the years served as a Specialist in Agricultural Health and Food Safety, Rural Development and Competitiveness at the Office in Belize until October of 2012 when he was transferred to Guyana to assume responsibility as Country Representative.

Mr. Garnett holds an A.Sc. from the Belize College of Agriculture, a B.Sc. in Plant & Soil Sciences from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, California, USA, with a minor in Plant Pathology, and an M.Sc. in Plant and Soil Sciences with Specialization in Horticulture from the same University.
